In Martyrs we have a modern take on the geography of the female body.   There is a secret basement complex which becomes a kind of house of unspeakable horrors.   There is also a very twisted kind of "forced" tradition of women in the movie.    But I can't quite remember if there's any "possession" in the sense I previously brought up.   It seems more like abduction than possession.
